WEAVING THE WILD

SPRING 2020

A season-long deep dive exploration to connect with your wild feminine spirit.

Weaving the Wild is all about holding space for the woman who craves connection to her wild feminine, to her roots and to her sisters. Its inspiration comes from a true need for useful resources, sacred space and divine feminine conversation.

Just as the Earth begins to brim with life come Spring, we too have an opportunity to connect to our abundantly fertile inner-landscape. Over the three months, we will align with the earth’s vibrant and fertile energy and reconnect to our true creative power and potential.

Out of the dark and resting earth, new life swirls and magicks its way into being.

Just like seeds which have laid dormant through Winter, we too follow the natural cycles of rest and rejuvenation through to creation. As wild feminine beings, ideas germinate and are brought to life in the rich dark soil of our inner landscape.

Like Mother Earth, we are full of abundant, fertile energy and we hold the power within us to create all things.

Are you ready to embody the way of the Feminine and unlock your infinite Creatrix energy?

LET ME SHARE WITH YOU THE STORY

The journey begins with two books (Burning Woman by Lucy Pearce and Wild Feminine by Tami Lynn Kent). They act as initiators, the ones who help us step onto the path and make our way along.

Burning Woman is an awakening of the powerful fiery essence that is intrinsic to the feminine spirit. It looks at how women have been burnt throughout history and still are today. It illuminates the difference between the burning from within (feminine fire) to the burning from without (how the world controls our fire and burns us with it).

Wild Feminine invites us to journey deep into the female body, to the root place, the womb. It’s a unique and holistic approach to reclaiming the power and spirit of the female body and it's connection to creative energy flow. The book gives you the tools to awaken and retrieve your ancient wild self and restore your creative energy through guided pelvic bodywork, healing stories, visualisations, rituals and creative exercises.

These books are full of fierce and fiery insights and deeply-held knowledge – the kind that will set your heart and womb ablaze and ready to stand in your wild feminine power. They are filled with words which will find you welling up as you remember your truth

But the reading of books in not enough when searching the rich, fertile landscape for your Wild Woman. We need sisters and allies who are willing to walk the path with us. And we need a map and someone to guide us through the terrain.

Sisterhood

This journey will create a community of sisters, and in this sacred container we will support each other in two potent ways.

First, through a private Facebook group, where we can ask questions, share insights, explore ideas, seek support and hold each other along the journey.

Second, will we gather together twice in a (virtual) Sister Circle, once for each book, in order to deep dive into the wisdom we each received upon reading. I like to think of this as an ‘activated’ reading circle – where we’re not so much discussing the book, but the insights and juicy downloads that came up for each of us through reading the book

There is so much potency and growth in women coming together to share in vulnerability, and this wild journey is the perfect space to do it!

The books and support of our sisters will serve us well as we continue along the journey through Spring. However, they will not take us to the heart of the feminine wilderness. To get there, we need to fully immerse ourselves within Wild Woman territory. We each need to discover the ways to reconnect to our roots. We need practices and rituals, things that can provide us with a tangible connection to the things that feel most intangible of all – the elusive wild feminine.

Map of the terrain

And so, I’ve created for you the Weaving the Wild Spring Workbook. A guidebook, so to speak, full of easy to read information and practices to help you explore the terrain. This is not linear work. There is no ‘one way in’ to meeting your wild, untamable feminine-self. And though you might sneak a peak at her along one path, you might find you need to double back and find another secret track to find her again.

The Weaving the Wild Spring Workbook will hand you the ideas and concepts, as well as practical steps and resources to find your way. From aligning with the Moon and observing Spring rituals and traditions, to embracing Spring energy in our own bodies (fertility, ovulatory, creativity, abundance) and connecting with goddesses who embody and express the fiery creative energy of the feminine. This workbook will be your tool to help you explore your own path to your wild feminine.

Your Guide

And as on any quest, we need a guide. The person who helps us stay the course and encourages us when challenges and obstacles arise.

I will be your humble guide as we journey together over the next three months.

Every week I will be live in the Facebook group to share quick thoughts and practices as we move through the months of Spring. We’ll have the chance to cover topics such as dream practices, myths & stories, Priestess energy, the Mother-line as well as relevant astrological energies (including the start of the next eclipse season) and guided meditations.

I will be your biggest advocate; ever-ready to aid you and support you as we journey together in this sisterhood of wild women.

FAQ

What exactly are the
‘Sister Circles’ and what do they involve?

Much like a physical women’s circle, we gather in these virtual Sister Circles to hold sacred space. They will be run on zoom and are an opportunity for us to connect in a way that the Facebook group doesn’t always allow.
These deep dive calls will use the books as initiators of divine feminine conversation. A typical call generally begins by each lighting a candle to call ourselves present and provide a ritual element to our call. I then prompt and guide the conversation to encourage each woman’s insights and reflections on what the book’s themes bring up for them.

It is a beautiful space for each woman to share her wisdom and medicine (because every single one of us has medicine to offer). This is a space where women are able to be authentic and vulnerable.

Do I have to read the books?

Short answer: no, you don’t have to. You might absolutely love the books, or you may find one difficult to connect with. Every woman is different and that is absolutely ok. The books are chosen as guides and initiators of conversation. They pose ideas, themes and concepts for us to dive into and explore together (on an individual and collective level).

I would encourage you to try and read both books if possible, so that you get the most out of the seasonal journey. Don’t worry if you find you haven’t been able to complete a book before the deep dive Sister Circle – I always give a little recap/rundown on the themes and topics we’ll be exploring together so everyone is on the same page!

Why is it only for Spring?

Weaving the Wild is a seasonal journey. One intention behind this is to encourage women to connect to the cycles of nature and embody their own natural cycles. Each season offers us different energy and wisdom. Therefore, each Weaving the Wild journey varies in theme and focus as the seasons shift.

Three months also offers a beautiful container for a sisterhood to form. It’s also a more achievable timeframe to read the books (as opposed to a monthly bookclub group).

Each Weaving the Wild journey starts afresh at the beginning of each new season.

Is there a payment plan available?

Absolutely! I’m more than happy to offer a payment plan. Simply email me at hello@rachelhodgens.com to join this way.

What if I want to cancel?

You can cancel anytime before the commencement of the program. After Weaving the Wild begins on September 1st 2020, you will be unable to cancel or ask for a refund as you will already have received the Spring Workbook digitally.

I want to join, but I’m nervous and not sure I have anything to ‘share’. How active do I need to be in the group?

Oh beautiful one, this is your journey and nobody else’s. My hope in creating this space is for every woman to be supported and able to connect with her feminine, no matter where she is on her journey. That might be in the smallest of ways, or the most giant of leaps.

You don’t need to be any particular ‘type’, have done any specific ‘work’ or fit any kind of mould to be a part of Weaving the Wild. You are growing, deepening and changing the world, simply by showing up and being present.

Join now and be ready to start at Spring!
